ROLE OVERVIEW
Elevate is seeking a Digital Marketing & Revenue Strategist to lead our daily operations for ticketed sports at
UCLA. This individual will be fundamental in sales enablement and prospect growth and be responsible for
monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing sales data, and identifying trends to inform strategic
decisions.

The core responsibilities include all efforts related to digital marketing including email management and
strategy, data collection and digital advertising engagement, innovative partnerships, and attendance-driving
tactics in order to generate revenue and sell tickets.

The Digital Marketing & Revenue Strategist will receive direct exposure to and support from the Elevate BI
team. The ideal candidate is an analytical team player and great communicator, who is versed in digital
marketing and ecommerce platforms.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Digital Marketing & Advertising
    • Plan, implement, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including email, paid social media, display advertising, search, and video, to amplify awareness and conversion.
    • Manage and update marketing-related web content, including ticketing pages on UCLABruins.com, ensuring accuracy and consistency in messaging.
    • Implement a comprehensive digital marketing and branding strategy for UCLA Athletics focused on revenue generation through increased attendance, ticket sales, donations and ancillary income.
    • Create and moderate a lead generation program that encompasses online sweepstakes, website forms and onsite data collection. Organize and load contact data into the CRM system for use in sales initiatives. 
    • Oversee email marketing efforts including creative production, segmentation, analytics review and scheduling. 
    • Identify, analyze, recommend and implement long-range goals and strategies related to marketing, sales and advertising. 
    • Maintain regular communication with team staff and affiliated departmental staff members in formulating cross-functional advertising and branding plans to deliver results to meet the Department’s goals and objectives. Including collaboration with the Marketing and Creative Content teams to ensure adherence to the UCLA Athletics brand identity
    • Monitor and manage marketing budgets for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with department priorities.

  • Email Marketing
    • Develop, create, and distribute strategic email communications including the weekly This Week in Athletics newsletter, monthly football and men’s basketball season ticket holder updates, and targeted promotional campaigns supporting ticket sales for all ticketed sports.
    • Maintain departmental email calendar in coordination with all creative content distribution and external messaging.
    • Monitor and report on email campaign performance, providing data-driven insights, research, and recommendations to enhance future communications and automation strategies.
    • Manage automated email workflows, executing campaigns through the marketing ESP and collaborating with internal stakeholders to refine messaging based on performance metrics and audience behavior
    • Facilitate partner emails and advertising inclusion in accordance with established agreements such as JMIS, the Rose Bowl, Big Ten Conference and campus related entities

  • Market Research
    • Analyze previous sales data, demographic audience and consumer behavior from marketing, sales and advertising plans, and provide innovative initiatives to generate revenue from industry trends.
    • Assist marketing staff with creating and presenting research reports, projected revenue reports and year-end reviews

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a digital marketing or ecommerce role is preferred
  • Relevant experience with marketing and digital commerce platforms, such as Eloqua
  • Relevant understanding of NCAA and Big Ten Conference bylaws is a plus
  • Familiarity with CRM systems & processes is a plus
  • Computer proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, HTML,
Adobe Photoshop

Working Environment
  • The incumbent primarily works in an office environment, however is expected to attend
additional athletic event(s) and/or department events as scheduled throughout the year.

  • This position may require a limited amount of travel on rare occasions

We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
