The bartender is responsible for providing an excellent guest drinking experience to guests at Terra Mare by being attentive to their needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed.  The bartender must have a well-rounded understanding of the cocktail menu, the wine offerings and ability to speak to the items being served on the menu. Excellent bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ wants and expectations. A bartender is an integral part of the Terra Mare team as they interact closely with guests, therefore the server must be energetic and upbeat and have a passion for good food and cocktails!

 Core Responsibilities
  • Deliver customers the highest level of quality service to ensure an exceptional dining experience at Terra Mare
  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
  • Understand cocktail menu offerings to best assist customers’ needs and preferences and in order to make recommendations
  • Prepare, peel, slice and pit fruit and other necessary items for garnishing/preparing drinks
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
  • Ensure clean glasses, bar equipment and working areas, as well as, arrange glasses and bottles into attractive and functional displays
  • Comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies
  • Balance the cash register at the start and close of each shift
  • Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age and comply with established policies and procedures regarding serving alcoholic beverages
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Assist with special events as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • 2-3 Years’ experience bartending
  • Knowledge of restaurant/bar procedures and operations
