Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Manager to oversee the on-site execution of high school sporting events, primarily utilizing AI camera technology. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless event coverage, managing field operations, and supervising event staff and equipment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong logistical skills, and can ensure all production elements are meticulously managed from setup to footage delivery. This position requires a local presence in the Richmond Area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the on-site setup, operation, and breakdown of AI camera equipment at various sporting event venues.
  • Ensure all camera systems are properly deployed, powered, and recording throughout the duration of events, covering all required fields.
  • Coordinate and supervise event staff or camera operators, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to production protocols.
  • Manage equipment inventory, including cameras and external power sources, ensuring they are fully charged and prepared for multi-day shoots.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for on-site event operations, troubleshooting issues and making real-time decisions to maintain production quality.
  • Direct the capture of B-Roll footage as specified by Next Level Video requirements.
  • Assist with the uploading of footage, which may require access to a high-speed ethernet connection.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams regarding event status, challenges, and successful completion.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in event production, field operations, or a similar supervisory role, preferably within sports or live events.
  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on detail and problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with staff and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working independently and making critical decisions on-site.
  • Familiarity with camera equipment and basic troubleshooting; experience with AI camera systems is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and comfortability with travel to various event locations.

Compensation

This position offers a daily rate of $300-$400, plus a stipend for meals while working events.

Travel

This role requires regular travel to various high school sporting event venues within the Richmond Area. Some travel may involve long distances and overnight stays, especially for multi-day events.
