Position Summary:
The Motion Graphics Producer will conceptualize and execute the creative motion graphics for visual communications for in-game videoboards/LED, digital content for websites and social media and video-based advertising for the LA Galaxy and Dignity Health Sports Park.  The Motion Graphics Producer will lead creative development, ensure brand consistency with non-motion creative and provide enhancements to the overall brand identity that increase fan engagement and brand interest.

Essential Functions:
  • Collaborate with Design, Digital, Video Production and Photo (Creative Services) and Game Presentation teams to create motion graphics to run on LAG/DHSP Video Boards and LED Boards. Including, but not limited to, matchup assets, player specific animations, goal & win animations, and other in-stadium animations. 
  • Execute game day Motion Graphics for both home and away matches as well as other LA Galaxy initiatives including, but not limited to Foundation, LA Galaxy II, and LA Galaxy Academy. Design and animate digital assets (e.g., tune-in banners, in-stadium LED animations, brand intros, swipes, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Digital team to create cutting-edge graphics for use on social media across all platforms that utilizes the LA Galaxy brand in a dynamic way.  Keep up-to-date with current motion graphics, design and social media trends while analyzing performance of content metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Video Production team to produce motion graphic elements that amplify the video edit. Provide insight and expertise during special video productions that will incorporate motion graphics like design elements that are embedded/interact with the raw video footage. (Ex: new player signing, sponsorship announcements, etc.)
  • Create motion templates that act as on-screen lower-third graphics, on-screen graphic descriptions, sponsored pre-roll and endslates, etc.

Required Qualifications:
  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) - In Graphic Design or related field
  • 2-4 years related work experience in digital, graphic design or video production
  • Ability to create compelling visual communication for motion-based platforms
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign), and 3D software (Cinema 4d)
  • Strong knowledge or mastery of Adobe After Effects
  • Strong knowledge in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Working knowledge of, and experience creating content for Xpression, Daktronics and Click Effects
  • Strong knowledge of print, web and social media best practices
  • Intimate knowledge of Social Media trends across multiple platforms (eg. Twitter, Instagram, TikTok)
  • Proactive and able to work well under pressure
  • Detail oriented with strong follow-up skills
  • Ability to successfully manage several projects at once, prioritize assignments, manage expectations of internal customers and be extremely organized
  • Willing to think differently to accomplish greater results
  • Team player with professional demeanor demonstrating responsibility, initiative and dependability, all with a positive attitude
  • Flexible and adapts to various environments and situations
  • High ethical standards and strong sense of confidentiality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, on numerous weekends, and on various holidays, due to the nature of professional sports
  • Knowledge of soccer and specifically MLS and Los Angeles
  • Sports or Agency experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the Spanish Language Preferred
