Job Summary
The Manager Benefits oversees the development, implementation, and management of employee benefits programs including leave protections, and wellness within the organization. They also partner with department leaders and stakeholders to provide tailored benefits solutions that meet the specific needs of the business.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Liaison between local HR Teams and service providers to ensure that 3rd party administration for process like employee leave, ADA, benefits administration, and all others are handled efficiently.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and stakeholders to understand business needs, develop, and implement benefits programs tailored to meet organizational requirements, ensuring alignment and compliant with existing benefits infrastructure.
  • Provide counseling and act as a trusted advisor to the business regarding benefits-related matters and initiatives
  • Project manage the implementation of benefits solutions, including coordination with internal teams and external vendors as necessary.
  • Utilize benefits analytics to proactively troubleshoot and establish procedures within our benefits operating processes to identify opportunities, assess financial risks, and monitor data integrity across business units.
  • Create, distribute, and teach benefit guidance materials like SOPs for the support of local business HR leaders to facilitate their interactions.
  • Maintain and manage Well-Being budget initiatives, justification, and sustainability for company-wide programs.
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute benefit-related communications, including open enrollment materials and well-being initiatives. Review and manage the ongoing design, implementation, and communication of employee benefit programs.
  • Manage, maintain, and oversee the filing with Government entities on all matters pertaining to ERISA, ACA, ADA, COBRA, FMLA, HSA, 401k, FSA, and other relevant regulations related to employee benefits.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to employee benefits to ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant, including forecasting potential business impacts and required changes for future compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
 
Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in benefits administration Required
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing benefits programs within a corporate environment
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions utilizing Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and information systems.
  • Knowledge of variety and structure of retirement plans, pensions, 401(k)’s, IRA’s and Roth IRA’s.
  • Ability to learn in-depth various health insurance plans (HMOs and PPOs).
  • Ability to translate technical information on benefits to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to conduct research on benefits plans and changes to healthcare and insurance regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred Or Upon Hire
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CPB)-World At Work is preferred Upon Hire

Pay Scale: $97,830 - $142,669
