STAGEHAND DEPARTMENT - Coachella Valley Music and Arts and Stagecoach Country Festivals 2026

STAGEHANDS

 SUMMARY

The Stagehand is responsible for performing all setup before, during, and after events which includes, but is not limited to, assembling and disassembling production equipment on stage. In addition, the stagehand will work closely with and assist carpenters with scenery build, installation, video, sound and light production.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble and set up lighting, props, microphones, road cases, musical instruments, scenery, set pieces and other parts at the beginning of the scene.
  • Disassemble, remove and store aforementioned items at the end of scene.
  • Load/unload props and materials from trucks.
  • Move and rearrange furniture.
  • Construct and paint set pieces.
  • Assist carpenters with scenery build and installation.
  • Hand the scenery up into the roof and lower it down onto stage.
  • Assist with video, sound, and light production.
  • Work with electricians and lighting assistants.
  • Clean up stage and backstage area after performance.
  • Operate scenery-moving machinery.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience.
  • Previous experience with manual labor preferred.
  • Forklift and heavy machinery certified.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license if venue location requires driving.
  • Must be able to take direction and execute instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.


PREFERENCES

  • Previous experience with manual labor
  • Forklift & heavy machinery certified
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

REQUIRED AVAILABILITY

  • This position may require minimum availability from 3/16/2026 to 5/8/2026
  • Day, mid and overnight shifts available

Pay Scale: $20.00- $25.00

 

Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.

Benefits: Part-time: This position may be eligible for benefits (ACA qualification).
