Facilities Technician (The Speedway Club at Texas Motor Speedway)
Overview:

Position Responsibility:
- Oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance for the Speedway Club building, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, elevators, fire/life safety systems, and building automation systems.
- Ensure all building systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with applicable codes.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance issues, emergencies, and event-related requests.
- Supervise and schedule maintenance staff, third party vendors, service providers and/or contracted personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and service contracts.
- Prepare the facility for club events, race weekends, corporate functions, and private gatherings.
- Coordinate with food & beverage vendor, and event teams to support seamless guest experiences.
- Provide in-person support during Speedway Club events and peak operational periods.
- Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the facility, both interior and exterior.
- Assist with emergency preparedness and response planning.
- Other duties assigned by the Director of Operations & Vice President of Operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in building/facilities maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic computer applications.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with an ability to work independently
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and race/event days.
· Physical ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, work in confined spaces, loud environments and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Positive attitude and creative problem solver who enjoys multi-tasking.
