POSITION SUMMARY
Speed Promotions is looking for a driven, fun, creative and experienced Senior Manager of Social and Content to support our current and future event series on social media. 

The Senior Manager of Social and Content is fundamental in the creation and execution of social strategy, including developing social marketing campaigns, producing and overseeing the creation of social-specific content, managing our social media calendar, and community engagement. Using highlights, archival and original content, custom graphics, and more, this role will be in charge of growing our social media presence. This role is the social and content expert at the company. They will use their industry knowledge, creativity, and analytical thinking to drive the brand(s) forward on social while meeting marketing goals, fulfilling sponsor obligations, and striving for widespread brand awareness. 

The ideal candidate will be an excellent social media marketer with a strong expertise in social strategy, and how to create content that dominates on social platforms. They will have a deep understanding of how social content is consumed, an eye for detail, and a drive to hold our social presence to a high standard.They are a creative thinker who excels at developing high-performing social content and activations, but also has a strong understanding of analytics and can turn key data into actionable learnings.

The foundation of the Speed Promotions organization is rooted in a team-centric approach to growing the brand. It is required that every member of the department has the ability and desire to collaborate with others, share responsibilities outside of their core functions, celebrate wins and learn from losses as a team, and seek to create a culture of accountability, innovation, integrity, and high-performance.

INDIVIDUAL DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
  • Lead ideation, content development, programming and posting for priority social media channels (incl. TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc.) across owned properties
  • Oversee development of consistent, high-quality daily social content and live event coverage, as well as overarching content initiatives and tentpole campaigns
  • Work hand-in-hand with marketing and content production teams to create content optimized for social media consumption, cultural relevancy, and brand marketing goals.
  • Lead community management efforts by developing social customer service strategies, developing tactics to strengthen and reward our community, as well as engaging with key influencers, athletes, and partners, 
  • Analyze social media performance and maintain regular post-event reporting for both the brand and partners 
  • Stay up-to-date on social media best practices, internet trends, currents events, and major news to ensure we have a timely and relevant presence, and ideating on opportunities to expand our reach and impact. 


WE’RE INTERESTED IN CANDIDATES WHO HAVE:
  • 5+ years of experience in social media programming or management
  • Strong visual eye in regards to social-specific content and how to package content (video, graphics, etc.) for social consumption
  • Proven expertise in building and maintaining an always-on content calendar and social presence
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging social media platforms and trends
  • Creative thinker, problem-solver, and content creator who loves to challenge and themselves and those around them to try new things and explore new opportunities
  • Detail-oriented, with no tolerance for mistakes and errors when it comes to brand social presence.
  • A leader who takes initiative and knows what it takes to develop content, build a calendar, and post on social without constant oversight
  • Exceptionally organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Strong copywriting skills, and knowledge of video editing/graphic design platforms. 
  • Extremely familiar with native platform analytics tools, experience developing analytics reports, and highly-skilled at pulling learnings from key data points.
  • Collaborative team player who has experience working closely with other departments within the organization as well as external contractors, agencies, partners, and sponsors. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
