WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Manager, Credentials and Member Services, is responsible for managing INDYCAR credentials including overseeing sanction agreement inventory and serving as a representative between the company and key internal and external stakeholders. The Manager, Credentials and Member Services, along with a seasonal credential team, delivers on customer needs ensuring successful access to INDYCAR events.  Responsibilities include travelling to all INDYCAR racing events and working closely with the IMS credentials team.

In this role, you’ll be an important part of delivering top-tier experiences to fans, partners, and team guests across the motorsports world. You’ll take ownership of key responsibilities, collaborate across departments, and bring energy and innovation to a fast-paced environment.

                                              

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Credentials

  • Serve as the primary first point of contact for INDYCAR participants (officials, teams, drivers, manufacturers, partners, suppliers, and promoters), as well as other INDYCAR departments, on all credential-related matters. The priority of the Member Services department is service to INDYCAR’s internal/external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the INDYCAR credentials system including understanding access and parking requirements at each event location, following legal department directives, and working directly with IT to utilize INDYCAR credentials software. Oversee the printing, approving, and processing of INDYCAR credentials including Driver Testing Licenses, Annual Credentials (“Hard Cards”), Race Credentials (“Race Modes”), Single Event Credentials, Spotter Credentials, Golf Cart, Scooter & Tugger Passes, and the Annual Parking Program.
  • Act as the main point of contact between each race promoter and INDYCAR for  Applicable Consent and Liability Releases related to track- and venue-specific credentials; Garage, Pit Lane, and Minor credentials; parking access; and Pit Lane access control; etc.  Assist in  production and maintenance of credentials policy guidelines/policies/procedures.
  • Serve as primary liaison between Member Services and Creative/ Marketing regarding production of INDYCAR competition needs including Annual (“Hard Cards”) and Single Event credentials.
  • Other Credentials responsibilities as assigned include:
    • Identify credentials-related issues
    • Consult with other departments (Competition, Partnership, Promoter Relation)
    • Propose potential solutions
    • Post-Event reporting
    • Reconcile credential-related financials after each event
    • Review procedures specific to each venue

Sanction Agreement Inventory

  • Responsible for reconciliation, distribution, and tracking all tickets, parking and suite passes for officials, partners and Series guests provided to INDYCAR from event promoters per sanction agreements.

Driver and Entrant Licensing

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers and entrants (teams) for licensing requirements and membership applications.
  • Serve as secondary liaison with ACCUS-FIA regarding requirements (fees, international letters of authorization, international competition privileges, etc.).

Required Experience & Skills:

  • A minimum of three to four years of professional experience in a related function required
  • The candidate for this position should be proactive, efficient, flexible, resilient, organized, collaborative, and a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS-Office Suite, in particular, Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to handle pressure

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college

 

Leadership:

  • This position supervises up to one intern and one to two seasonal staff who travel to events to assist with credential distribution.

 

FLEXIBILITY & TRAVEL

  • Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Extended hours required during race weekends and key event periods (especially March - August)
  • Travel to all INDYCAR Series race events and occasional additional events required Flexibility and adaptability are key skills needed for this role.
  • Our teams work together to create flexibility that supports life in and out of work

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Extended periods of standing or walking (as needed)
  • Comfort working indoors/outdoors and around event noise

  • Fast-paced, collaborative office and event settings
  • There is a constantly changing work environment as each race venue is different. Great adaptability and patience are required.
