WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Human Resources Generalist assists with the administration of day-to-day human resources operations, including seasonal hiring, employee onboarding, orientation and off boarding, HR compliance and workforce culture efforts. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly collaborative, solution oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, attentive to details and enjoys process improvement. They will provide excellent service and support as we grow our seasonal workforce, enhance our recruitment processes, build an inclusive workforce, and expand our employer presence in the market.
In this role, you’ll be an important part of delivering top-tier experiences to fans, partners, and teams across the motorsports world. You’ll take ownership of key responsibilities, collaborate across departments, and bring energy and innovation to a fast-paced environment. This role will initially focus on coordinating and supporting a variety of HR processes and initiatives, with the opportunity to grow and develop into a broader HR Generalist role over time.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the HR hire, onboarding and offboarding processes for all seasonal employees.
- Coordinate and facilitate the employee onboarding and orientation process for all full-time and part-time hires, ensuring onboarding materials are current, consistent, and tailored to meet the needs of our various audiences.
- Maintain internal HR website to ensure information and resources remain current, user friendly, visually engaging and creatively presented.
- Responsible for the maintenance of position descriptions, ensuring all employees have a current description on Racehouse (internal website).
- Support on the administration of employee changes, HR compliance and regulatory reporting as needed.
- Identify, coordinate participation in and attend relevant fairs, events and other employment outreach activities, to ensure a broad and diverse pool of qualified applicants for all Penske Entertainment employment opportunities, but with a focus on seasonal staff.
- Work to improve our processes and employee experience and provide cross-functional support as needed.
- Performs regular routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource tasks and initiatives.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain updated seasonal recruiting related procedures and checklists.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Experience & Skills:
- One to three years’ Human Resources experience required.
- Foundational knowledge in HR (i.e., outreach, recruiting, administration)
- Experience recruiting using an HR Information System (HRIS) and/or talent management system, with the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent platforms. Experience with UKG (formerly UltiPro) is a plus.
- Basic graphic design skills and the ability to create fun, engaging, and visually appealing content for internal communications, flyers, presentations, and the HR intranet/site are strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for innovation, HR solutions, and process improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a passion for working with people and an engaging demeanor.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to learn federal and state employment regulations and compliance procedures.
- Ability to build rapport and trusted relationships at all levels of the organization through proactive, solution-oriented partnership and a willingness to engage in direct, face-to-face conversations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a demonstrated history of balancing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
- Ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Willingness to provide exceptional customer service and collaboration skills.
- Self-Starter and high level of initiative. Takes the lead and ownership over responsibilities. Experience as a Resident Assistant (RA) is a plus.
- Coachable. Able to receive feedback, guidance, and instruction.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related discipline. A combination of equivalent experience and education will also be considered.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.
Leadership:
- This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
FLEXIBILITY & TRAVEL
- Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Extended hours required during race weekends and key event periods (especially May)
- Some local travel required for outreach
- Our teams work together to create flexibility that supports life in and out of work
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Extended periods of standing or walking (as needed)
- Comfort working indoors/outdoors and around event noise
- Must be able to see and hear in the normal range with or without correction and communicate verbally and in written form with great facility and must be able to be understood.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Fast-paced, collaborative office and event settings
- The noise level in the work environment can be loud, due to professional racing events.
- Willingness to partner and assist other areas of the business during major racing events as needed.
- Employee will be faced with frequent interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.
