NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Series Coordinator, Championship & Challenge Series Platforms based in our Daytona Beach, Florida office.

This person is responsible for managing projects and activities in the Series Management team by developing and executing solutions in the areas of team and partner relationships, communications, and event management. As well as, working closely with IMSA departments such as membership, logistics, competition, technical, and marketing regarding the execution and management of pre-event planning and event logistics for each event.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the creation, production, and management of materials for pre-event communication. These materials may include information related to Pre-Event Presentations, Pit Lane Assignments, Logistics, and Schedule/Regulation Review.
  • Fulfill Series Management team responsibilities activities related to events associated with IWSC, IMPC, and/or VPRC Race Event weekends; including but not limited to fielding stakeholder inquiries, disseminating information, and curating stakeholder relationships.
  • Manage stakeholder inquiries via phone and email correspondence, building stakeholder relationships by clarifying published regulation and logistics information.
  • Identify, gather, and organize information related to the IWSC, IMPC, or VPRC series.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the IMSA stakeholder’s business; proactively propose ways in which IMSA may support the stakeholder’s business objectives.
  • Fulfill structured team outreach on specific requests or related needs as directed by the Series Management team.
  • Approximate travel 30%, including +/-15 weekends.

Required skills / experience

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from IMSA’s stakeholders and fans.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Proficient in Company hardware and software as well as Microsoft Office suite of software and applications. Photoshop is a plus.
