NASCAR Event Management seeks a skilled professional to join in the position of Part Time Coordinator, Competition Operations.

THIS IS A FIELD/REMOTE POSITION THAT TRAVELS TO RACE EVENTS ACROSS THE U.S.

The Part Time Coordinator, Competition Operations is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient installation and operation of the competition department’s camera system at national series events while contributing to additional projects and events for NASCAR’s National Series, Touring Series, Weekly Series and ARCA Series.

THIS IS A FIELD/REMOTE POSITION THAT TRAVELS TO RACE EVENTS ACROSS THE U.S.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. 

  • Operate and manage competition camera system at-track, including installation, tear down, operation and troubleshooting of the system and software involved for real-time, replay and archiving scenarios.
  • Coordinate with other internal and external entities to ensure camera system is placed in compliance with NASCAR standards and in areas around the track to support Race Control.
  • Contribute to weekly meetings and debriefings related to event weekends and the camera system.
  • Liaise with the manufacturers, contractors and other operators of the camera system and associated software.
  • Develop and maintain guides and other support documents related to the operation and best practices of the camera system.
  • Support competition roles in NASCAR’s Touring Series, Weekly Series and ARCA Racing platforms as assigned.
  • Travel for site visits as assigned.
  • Travel: 90%, mainly on weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a clean driving record and valid license.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with computer software and camera systems is a plus.
  • Proficient skills on Company provided hardware and software, and Microsoft suite programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Familiar with the Adobe Suite, and the ability to learn purpose-built internal software programs, applying them in real-world use. 
  • Experience with advanced camera systems and associated software is a plus.
