NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Coordinator, Curated Experiences based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office. 

The Curated Experiences (Special Events) team member will oversee all planning and execution of Event Experience activations throughout race weekend in areas such as but not limited to infield experience, camping, concerts and other special fan events.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Assist the cross-functional team in the ideation, planning and execution of the programming strategy for all added-value and revenue-based fan programming and content efforts at their team’s events including but not limited to fan zones, infield experiences, camping activations and event production;
  • Collaborate with track-based teammates to build and execute a camping activation schedule that improves the camper experience. Activations would include but are not limited to concerts, camper mixers, pedal parties, etc;
  • Lead teammates in planning & execution of Caution Crew programming & schedule for each event weekend
  • Plan & execute other special events as assigned throughout the season
  • Work with track-based marketing teammates to develop a consumer-facing signage plan to promote Event Experience camping activations and highlight key NASCAR initiatives;
  • Collaborate with track-based teammates on all youth programming during each respective race weekend with the goal of cultivating and retaining new, younger fans
  • Identify and embrace new, unique technologies and strategies to provide memorable, fan-focused event content for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build strong working relationships and encourage collaboration with all regional and central departments, especially the central event experience team, and key external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the fan experience during all events;
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • College degree, preferably in related business field, i.e. Marketing, Sports Management
  • Minimum 1-3 years sports & event experience required
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and is able to take a project from start to finish
  • Strong ability to think strategically, creatively and quickly
  • Detail-oriented and organized with outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to work through on-site event logistics and think operationally is a must
  • True team player and collaborator
  • Ability to coordinate and deliver multiple projects at once within strict deadlines
  • Must be able to work extended hours and event weekends
  • 40% travel required
  • Valid driver’s license
