The FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX has rapidly become a world-class event in its first two years. This three-day spectacle attracts a global audience to witness the world's greatest drivers and cars navigate the iconic Las Vegas Strip at breathtaking speeds approaching 200 mph.
Grand Prix Plaza is a multi-use complex and year-round destination for private events. The 29-acre property houses the state-of-the-art Las Vegas Grand Prix Pit Building. Outside of being the home of the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX, Grand Prix Plaza is home to immersive experiences, including F1 Drive, F1X and F1 HUB, as well as three private event spaces.
The Event Operations Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of key operational programs for the Las Vegas Grand Prix. This role manages a portfolio of operation-critical departments and vendors, including Safety, Medical, Credentials, Access Control, CCTV, security and staff communications, overseeing the full vendor lifecycle from RFP and contract administration through event execution and post-event reconciliation. Strong operational understanding, vendor relationship management, and budget accountability are central to this role's success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for direct oversight and management of multiple operational departments, including but not limited to Safety, Medical, Credentials, Access Control, CCTV, security and staff communications, across all Las Vegas Grand Prix venues.
- Coordinates closely with multiple departments to ensure overall logistics are aligned on deliverables and that all operational areas are working in concert toward event goals.
- Accountable for RFP requests and for contracting with vendors and services as needed for all responsible departments.
- Works with leadership to develop and manage budgets across all responsible departments throughout the event cycle; maintains monthly budget tracking for finance and forecasting.
- Works with various teams and departments to develop and implement detailed overall venue and event operation plans.
- Creates policies and procedures for all responsible departments to implement consistently across event venues, ensuring operational standards are maintained throughout the event cycle.
- Oversees the development and execution of event safety and security operations, including assessments, incident response procedures, and vendor management.
- Creates and manages department workback timelines to align with overall Event Operations milestones, ensuring all projects have direction and stay on task.
- Identifies areas for process improvement and implements innovative solutions to streamline event operations across all departments and venues.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient execution of all event operational aspects.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of event/festival industry administrative experience.
- Motivated self-starter who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and has exceptional follow through skills.
- Highly organized with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior organizational and project management skills
- Ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances and pivot to address new situations and concerns positively and proactively
- Solid computer/database and clerical skills, Proficient in MS Office products, working knowledge of SmartSheet
- Ability to track, manage and meet budget requirements.
- Communicate effectively with various audiences by organizing and delivering information appropriately and listening actively to others.
