SUMMARY OF JOB:

We are seeking a dynamic and guest-focused Director of Guest Experiences to support the overall operations at Grand Prix Plaza, with a strong emphasis on guest safety, guest experience, team development, financial oversight, and operational excellence. The Director of Guest Experiences will work closely with the General Manager to ensure seamless daily operations, uphold brand standards, and drive continuous improvement across all guest, team, and staff-facing touchpoints.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the General Manager in overseeing all operational aspects of the experiences and events at Grand Prix Plaza.
  • Lead and mentor frontline teams to deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring safety, consistency, and hospitality.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to improve satisfaction and engagement.
  • Manage staff schedules, training programs, and team performance evaluations.
  • Participate in analysis, strategy, and program implementations to support business growth.
  • Coordinate with partners, vendors, and service providers to maintain operational standards and resolve issues.
  • Develop and refine SOPs across guest-facing departments.
  • Lead by example during activations and special events, including the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
  • Support emergency response procedures and ensure team readiness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 7+ years of experience in venue, attraction, or hospitality management.
  • Proven leadership skills with a passion for team development and guest service.
  • Strong understanding of operational workflows, safety protocols, and brand standards.
  • Experience with financial reporting, inventory management, and vendor relations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid computer/database and clerical skills, proficient in MS Office products.
  • Experience managing budgets and P&Ls.
  • Highly organized with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
  • Able to take initiative to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions.
  • A desire to learn and master basic technical elements.

WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position that works a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.

SEASONAL & EVENT-BASED RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role includes a seasonal period during which responsibilities extend beyond standard operations. During load-in and load-out of the Grand Prix Plaza facility, race week activations, and other special projects, the position may support non-traditional functions that fall outside routine venue management. Flexibility, cross-functional collaboration, and adaptability are essential during these high-impact times.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, take stairs/elevators/escalators, and navigate the elements during the day and night.
  • May need to remain in a sitting or standing position for prolonged periods, and repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
