Strategy for Winning:
Position Summary:
UFC is looking for a highly creative Sr. Designer that thinks on a global scale. The ideal candidate thinks strategically, executes artistically, and innovates constantly.  This person will work alongside the Creative Director to lead the development of creative assets for our international events while supporting the creative team through domestic events and day-to-day brand initiatives. As a member of the Creative Team you take pride in the work you do that is seen my millions of UFC fans across the globe and think ahead to identify opportunities to push boundaries.  
 
Responsibilities:
  • Creatively pushing and innovating the design language of the UFC Brand
  • Designs and leads creative assets across all mediums, including social, interactive, OOH, print, events, experiential, etc.
  • Works with Creative Director to lead international teams, agencies and partners on creative assets
  • Collaborates closely with creative team and other departments to drive themes and storylines as well as visual consistency
  • Presents creative concepts and storylines for discussion and approvals
  • Ability to stay on top of multiple team projects to ensure design solutions are on strategy, on brand, on time and delivered with high level of quality
  • Helps contribute to operational processes and workflow as team scales 
  • Brings a high level of design standards, practice and aesthetics to all design solutions and executions
  • Ensures deliverables meet all the needs requested in the brief and follow brand guidelines
  • Passion for staying on top of design trends and industry news
  • Working with Creative Director to develop creative briefs for international UFC Events 
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment while still pushing innovation and creativity
  • Possesses strong communication skills to build partnerships with internal and external teams
  • Cultivates a creative and collaborative environment
 
Responsibilities:
  • 5+ years of experience at an agency or in-house setting
  • Expert knowledge of Photoshop (Photo manipulation, retouching, digital illustration, etc...)
  • Strong Illustrator skills (logo design, custom typography, vector illustration, etc...)
  • Advanced knowledge of photography, print, and digital specifications, production requirements, paper stocks and printing/finishing techniques
  • Knowledge of UFC and the sport of MMA is a big plus
  • Self-starter with strong problem solving skills
  • An outstanding proficiency in visual and/or interactive design
  • An inspiring portfolio of work that shows creative/strategic thinking
  • Advanced typography skills
  • Computer literate in a Mac environment
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and last-minute changes
  • Ability to manage time independently and multiple jobs simultaneously
  • Passion to lead and mentor Junior Designers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with internal and external teams, executive management and business contacts
  • Ability to maintain discretion and protect confidential information
  • Desire and ability to work independently and thrive in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment
  • Experience with After Effect and/or 3D programs is a plus
