The Role and What You’ll Do:

UFC boasts one of the most powerful social media followings in all professional sports, with a social ecosystem of over 260 million fans worldwide! The Social Media Manager executes our social media strategy and manages partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistency across all platforms. This role develops content distribution strategy based on engagement and analysis of performance metrics, and consistently looks for new and creative opportunities to provide fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of UFC athletes and live events.

  • Manages UFC’s social media strategy with an ‘always on’ approach, constantly monitoring and engaging current trends, influencers, websites, athletes, and celebrities.
  • Oversees UFC’s social content calendar and coordinates task with other team members to execute our social vision.
  • Handles live event coverage.
  • Works with capture teams to publish event-week content, driving fans to learn about our fighters’ lives and encourage purchase of our events.  
  • Serves as a liaison across UFC internal teams (Global Partnerships, Ticketing, etc.) to ensure broader business goals are supported.
  • Works with external partners (Meta, X, etc.) to ensure UFC’s content is optimized for engagement and revenue generation.   
  • Uses analytics and data to optimize our content offering so we are spending efforts on high-value work.
  • Provides regular performance updates to leadership and team members throughout fight week.
  • Directs team projects and event assignments to drive team members’ development.
  • Performs other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned. 

You Have These:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years managing large scale social media accounts that are always on.
  • Understanding of social media platforms and their metrics, with the ability to display how data can impact our businesses.
  • Ability to adopt a social voice and personality that caters to the UFC audience and identify the right tone and style across various platforms.
  • Ability to research and test new platforms as well as consistently staying on top of new technology and updates to existing social media platforms.
  • Ability to work long days, to be on-call when not working, travel domestically or internationally when needed, and weekend availability is mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a multi-task, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
  • Propose original, timely and innovative stories.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
