Position Summary:

The UFC Performance Institute (UFCPI) is the world’s first Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) multi-disciplinary research, innovation, and training center, and is globally recognized for the performance infrastructures it provides to UFC and UFC Academy athletes. With world-class facilities in Las Vegas and Shanghai, and now Mexico City, the mission of the UFCPI is to promote performance-enhancement through the delivery of world-class coaching, science, and medical services to the world’s best MMA and combat athletes. The successful candidate for this role will join a world-class interdisciplinary team of service providers with a proven track record of delivering world-leading support services to MMA and other professional athletes. The role will be integral in supporting the operational activities needed for the delivery of core services to UFC athletes, as well as wider business-related initiatives throughout Latin America. The Facilities Coordinator will serve as the key personnel in the Operations team to provide maintenance and engineering leadership to support existing technical service needs as well as the engineering/project development as needed. This role will manage external suppliers and partners to ensure the smooth operation of campus facilities and related services are delivered according to Standard Operation Procedures.

This role will also be expected to be an active member of the Operations team by communicating with end users, supporting events, projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible to ensure the operation of campus facilities by managing building & engineering systems, be responsible for supporting campus operation and development by managing projects and improvements. These responsibilities will principally include the followings:

  • Optimize campus strategy on building & engineering services, plan and execution of operations’ process and procedures, manage and improve related policies and SOPs.
  • Manage and arrange efficient CM/PM to building & facility systems, including but not limited to building envelop & structure, HVAC, power, plumbing, ELV, FFT, AV, interior finishes, sports equipment, recovery equipment, etc.
  • In charge of the facility management applications, ensure all applications are used in daily works according to standard procedures, the applications include but not limited to BA system, board- casting system, lighting system, facility management system, etc.
  • Train and supervise external contractor/consultants in regular daily work and establish a high-standard facility service.
  • Work closely with internal team members and communicate with internal customers to collect feedback and make adjustment on service levels/standards if required.
  • Be responsible for the KPIs and monthly billings of related service vendors to ensure accurate booking of the related costs. Monitor the utilization of assigned fund codes for cost tracking and control.
  • Be responsible for project management, ensure the project are conducted and completed within time and budget and the quality meets the standard.
  • Be responsible for energy conservation, ensure the proper usage of utilities and make improvements in energy monitoring and saving.
  • Be responsible for event supports, ensure the equipment and system operate well to meet the requirement of events, and also to supervise and monitor the work of event supplier to ensure their work meets UFC standards and no damage to UFC assets.
  • Recommend purchases, cost saving measures and assist with the development of budget.
  • Be responsible for inventory control, including tools, spare parts, PPE and so on.
  • Identify and conduct continuous improvement to team members for the work excellence. 
  • Conduct risk assessment, improve emergency response plan and ensure the qualified response during emergencies.
  • Review of compliance with preventive and corrective maintenance plans, suppliers.
  • Supervision of contracts with suppliers.
  • Knowledge of local regulations on civil protection, health and safety.

Skills & Experience:

  • A university degree in manufacturing/engineering management, or in a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of work experience in facility management.
  • Documented facility management experience for multiple high-standard projects.
  • Able and willing to work with a wide range of cultures.
  • Proven ability to effectively coordinate multiple programs and initiatives.
  • Several years of work experience in a foreign firm or in sports industry is preferred.
  • A self-starter, motivated and able to positively motivate others.
  • Demonstrate employee development and performance management skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, CAD, BIM and so on.
  • Good oral and written English skill.
  • Excellent service and hospitality attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
