World Central Kitchen (WCK) is seeking a strategic and motivated Manager of Community Fundraising & Engagement to lead community fundraising efforts that engage grassroots supporters, empower individual fundraisers, and build a thriving network of small-dollar donors. This role will oversee the development of peer-to-peer fundraising programs, manage WCK’s endurance event portfolio, and serve as the point person for multiple fundraising platforms. The ideal candidate is both creative and data-driven, with experience managing community fundraising programs, working across teams, and building strong donor engagement strategies. This role sits within the Development team and plays a critical part in building a movement of supporters who fuel WCK’s rapid response work around the world.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Peer-to-Peer Fundraising & Community Engagement
- Design and grow community-driven fundraising programs that allow individuals and small groups to activate their networks on behalf of WCK
- Create engaging toolkits, campaign materials, and resources to equip fundraisers and supporters.
- Provide hands-on support and stewardship to peer fundraisers, ensuring a personalized and inspiring experience.
- Collaborate across teams to integrate peer-to-peer efforts into seasonal campaigns, rapid response activations, and broader donor engagement plans
- Track fundraiser performance and retention, using insights to iterate and improve program design.
- Test new platforms, messaging, and content to grow and diversify our base of active fundraisers.
Endurance Fundraising Programs
- Manage WCK’s participation in marquee endurance events including the New York City, Chicago, Boston, and Valencia Marathons.
- Lead all aspects of runner recruitment, onboarding, communications, and fundraising support.
- Serve as liaison with race organizers and sponsors to ensure compliance, visibility, and seamless participant experience.
- Build community among WCK’s runners through pre-race events, team updates, and impact communications.
- Explore new endurance or fitness-related opportunities to expand the program globally.
Platform & Tools Management
- Manage WCK’s presence and fundraising campaigns across platforms including, but not limited to, Classy, Tiltify, JustGiving, and GivenGain.
- Partner with tech and digital teams to ensure effective campaign setup, data integration, and donor experience.
- Evaluate and test new technologies to stay current with community fundraising trends and tools.
Campaigns & Special Initiatives
- Contribute to seasonal fundraising campaigns and major moments including Giving Tuesday and End of Year.
- Collaborate across teams to align messaging, creative, and timelines for campaign success.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, digital campaigns, donor engagement, or community organizing, with a track record of running successful peer-to-peer or grassroots campaigns
- Demonstrated success managing fundraising initiatives from concept through execution
- Strong project manager with the ability to lead multiple campaigns and events at once
- Excellent communication and writing skills with a strong understanding of donor-centered messaging
- Familiarity with digital fundraising platforms such as Classy, Tiltify, and GivenGain
- Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce is preferred
- Collaborative, entrepreneurial spirit with a deep alignment to WCK’s mission and a passion for engaging supporters at scale
- Alignment with the mission and values of WCK
- Must have a valid Driver's License and passport
Travel Requirements
This position requires up to 25% travel, including domestic and occasional international travel, to attend donor meetings, fundraising events, site visits, and other development-related activities. Flexibility to travel with short notice may be needed based on fundraising opportunities and organizational priorities.
Preferred candidates will also have previous experience working in a fundraising, development, or an operations environment, experience coordinating with outside vendors, and multicultural experience.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 USD
