Job Description
Position Title: Manager, Event Transport Operations
Position Types: Fixed-term Contract (May-July/August)
Reports To: Project Lead

Position Summary:
This role is responsible for ensuring motorcoaches are properly staged, dispatched on time, and operating smoothly through loading and departure zones. Staff will support driver check-in, confirm daily service readiness, manage passenger boarding, and maintain flow within active transport areas. This is a fast-paced, operational role requiring reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to stay focused in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Service Operations
- Support driver check-in and verify daily assignments and routing
- Confirm vehicles are staged correctly and ready for service
- Review key event details, timing, and operational plans
- Loading Zone Management
- Manage bus staging, loading, and departure flow
- Oversee safe and efficient passenger boarding
- Maintain clear communication with drivers and supervisors
- Technology & Ticketing
- Utilize the Uber Driver App for ticket scanning and trip validation
- Assist with resolving basic scanning or passenger issues
- Operational Flow & Coordination
- Monitor loading zones and adjust flow to prevent delays or congestion
- Communicate issues, delays, or risks to supervisors in real time
- Support overall ingress and egress operations
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong operational awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Clear and confident communication
- Comfortable using mobile apps and basic technology
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in operations, logistics, events, or transportation preferred
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in major international events, transportation, logistics, or event management, with a proven ability to lead on-site teams.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Core Skills: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
Work Environment:
- Field-based, outdoor role in active transport zones
- Long periodsstanding and walking
- Exposure to weather, crowds, and vehicle movement
- Shift-based work including nights and weekends
