Operations Manager – Food & Beverage for Sports & Entertainment
Position Summary
The Operations Manager – Food & Beverage is responsible for supporting and executing high-volume event operations across multiple locations. This role serves as a critical operational partner, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance across all sites. The Operations Manager will travel to various venues to assist with staffing, service execution, inventory control, and overall event readiness while maintaining exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Event Operations & Execution
- Support on-site execution of large-scale food and beverage operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
- Assist in managing front-of-house and back-of-house operations during high-volume events
- Ensure adherence to company standards for service, safety, and guest experience
- Troubleshoot operational challenges in real time and implement effective solutions
Travel & Multi-Site Support
- Travel frequently to various venues and markets based on business needs
- Provide operational support to new, underperforming, or high-demand locations
- Assist with event launches, transitions, and large-scale activations
- Ensure consistency in processes, execution, and brand standards across all sites
Staffing & Team Support
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of hourly staff for events
- Provide on-the-ground leadership and coaching to supervisors and team members
- Assist with scheduling, labor planning, and real-time staffing adjustments
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
- Support adherence to company policies and procedures, including workplace safety standards
- Assist in monitoring and enforcing proper cash handling and inventory controls
Inventory & Financial Oversight
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and product control
- Monitor waste, shrink, and cost controls during events
- Support reconciliation processes and operational reporting as needed
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and operational consistency
- Provide feedback to leadership on site performance, staffing needs, and process improvements
- Assist in implementing new initiatives, systems, and best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in food and beverage or sports & entertainment0
- Experience supporting high-volume events, stadiums, arenas, or catering environments preferred
- Strong understanding of front-of-house and back-of-house operations
- Ability to travel frequently (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods during events
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Frequent travel required
Preferred Qualifications
- Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent)
- Alcohol service certification (TIPS or equivalent)
- Experience with event-based staffing models and large-scale operations
