     Proof of the Pudding is an award-winning catering company throughout the Southeast with a commitment to crafting creative culinary creations. This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Hospitality Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, & more.
     The Staffing Manager’s focus is on the responsibilities of staffing for Special Events, including but not limited to, recruiting hourly employees and nonprofit groups, coordinating travel for hourly and salary team members, communicating staffing needs to agencies, and overseeing event day staffing. The ideal candidate must possess the skills to develop effective working relationships, an ability to work independently, and possess the ability to manage multiple projects at once. 
     The Staffing Manager can be a remote position or work out of Proof of the Pudding’s Corporate Office in Atlanta, GA. This position does require travel to Special Events across the US including, but not limited to, numerous Golf Tournaments, concerts, raceways, and more. 
ESSENTIAL DUITES: 
PRE-EVENT/REMOTE DUTIES
  • Oversee and implement staffing matrixes for a variety of Proof of the Pudding’s venues and events 
  • Coordinate all aspects of hiring within special event’s needs, this includes but is not limited to – job fairs, job postings, upkeep of posts, scheduling interviews, conducting interviews, hiring, and scheduling.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with staffing agencies and taking the lead on all coordination and training necessary 
  • Recruitment& Retention of NPO volunteer groups to help staff venues 
  • Develop strategies for better staffing efficiency and goal achievement 
  • Create and update the labor and travel budget for upcoming events, share budget on planning calls and adjust and reassess as needed
  • Attend interdepartmental planning calls
  • Coordinate and communicate travel plans for all employees attending upcoming events including management, culinary, operations, and hourly employees including coordinating airfare, lodging, and car rentals. 
  • Manage borrowed labor from other venues, update Paycom accordingly
  • Compile any needed paperwork, signed job descriptions, licenses, etc.
ON-SITE
  • Oversee and monitor event payroll, adjusting department codes as needed, communicating with hourly staff regarding policies and any correction
  • Liaise between managers, staffing agencies, and employees 
  • Oversee, update, and articulate the labor and travel budget of events during prior planning, management and track event budget real time during events
  • Check in all temporary, hourly, and not for profit groups, communicate locations, monitor hours, and communicate with management any shortages or discrepancies
  • Shuttle staff as needed, ensure safety guidelines are met per Proof of the Pudding policy
  • Distribute per diem, oversee lodging accommodations, be the point per for all avenues to ensure success
  • Train and mentor staff
  • Generate and distribute staffing reports through HRIS Paycom
Performs other related duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of high volume staffing experience, experience in food & beverage and/or stadiums, amphitheaters, or convention centers is needed
    • Experience recruiting and working with Non-For-Profit groups is a plus 
  • Familiarity with payroll and ATS, preferably experience with Paycom
  • Ability to travel domestically throughout the year
    • Typical trips are from 8-14 days in length
  • Basic Knowledge of Programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Must have valid driver’s license, be able to rent and drive cars, and be able to operate a golf cart
Specialized Qualifications:
  • Stamina to work 50+ hours per week as needed 
  • Must be able to work extended shifts of 10 hours or more as business dictates 
  • Must be flexible with schedule and able to work different shifts 
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Renowned time management skills
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs
  • Knowledge of Catering Operations is preferred
  • The ability to work alone and as a team
Work Environment  
Non-travel days: This position has the opportunity to work remotely or work out of the Atlanta Corporate office. 
During travel: Events will be in an outdoor setting with movement between temporary structures, buildings, and semi loading trucks. This position will often operate golf carts, walk across uneven surfaces, and climb stairs as needed.
Physical Demands: 
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue with bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items 
  • Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 25 lbs.

Position Salary & Benefits:
  • This is considered a full-time position with a starting salary range of $60,000-$75,000/year
  • Proof is pleased to provide all full-time eligible employees with Basic Life and AD&D as well as long term disability at no cost to employees
