JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for forecasting, budget, monthly reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis across the Proof of the Pudding portfolio. This role will coordinate with operations and accounting on a monthly basis to provide variance explanations, update the forecast, prepare cash flow projections, and perform ad hoc profitability and contract analysis. Additionally, this role will assist in the financial analysis of new business opportunities and M&A.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Analysis
  • Analyzes, consolidates, and interprets financial data and provides insightful and actionable reports and summaries.
  • Identifies key performance metrics and builds financial models for profitability analysis, new business opportunities and M&A
  • Performs detailed research and variance analysis against forecasts, budget and prior year linking variances to key performance metrics.
  • Works closely with cross functional teams to gather and analyze relevant information in order to present insightful findings, analyses, and recommendations to management.
Forecast and Budget
  • Monitors and analyzes results of financial data and key business metrics to determine progress against plans, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Prepares monthly forecast and annual budget for P&L and Cash Flow and ensures accuracy within financial systems
  • Assists in the development and preparation of the monthly financial results packages and presentations for senior leadership teams.
Financial Reporting
  • Prepares and automates detailed financial reports, dashboards and presentations for management and the finance team.
  • Prepares variance analysis reports of company’s actual forecast and budget financial results.
  • Reconciles financial systems to ensure business data is accurately reflected in financial reporting.
  • Prepares ad hoc reports and responds to financial analysis requests.
Performs other related as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA is required.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in hospitality finance, financial planning & analysis, or other related fields.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling 
    •  (Power Bi a plus)
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem solving skills
  • Attention to accuracy and detail required

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will mainly consist of in-office work which entails computer usage, interdepartmental meetings and communications. This position’s duties may change based upon business needs and/or busy event schedules. 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

  • This is considered a full-time salary position.
