Proof of the Pudding is seeking an additional Catering Sales Manager to be a sales lead for the Off-Premise Catering and Events Division. The Catering Sales Manager is a management position designed to enhance and amplify offsite sales, event creativity & design, and foster new and existing client relationships. The perfect applicant is highly motivated, driven to exceed their goals, professional in demeanor, and has a passion for upscale, elevated events. The job often involves attending industry and networking events, telemarketing, advertising and contacting the competitions client base.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Obtaining New Clients and fostering relationships into events and business
  • Maintaining existing client relationships through Caterease database - follow-up calls, emails, notes and bi-monthly sales calls/drops to assigned venues
  • Create personalized proposals/sample menus based on clients’ needs; create contracts, purchase orders & vendor invoices in a timely fashion; create & distribute floor plans with venue manager for clients and internal teams review
  • Inter-departmental communication to the Operations, Management & Culinary teams for specific events through a detailed Banquet Event Order & kitchen sheet; must communicate effectively on any pop-ups and last minute event updates
  • Attend all booked events to greet the client and ensure the event details are executed accordingly until the food is presented; introduction made to the event captain to meet the client to run the event until close
  • Ensure the billing procedures are followed and the event is closed out properly in Caterease
  • Keep events organized and updated in BEO software and email communications internally and externally to clients
  • Coordinate décor needs, linen orders, specialty items with operations team internally and upsell options to clients
  • Expand your knowledge of Food & Beverage and offsite catering trends to bring creativity and innovation to the POP Offsite program
Performs other related duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have 3+ years of Food and Beverage or Hospitality Sales background – experience in off-premise catering sales is strongly encouraged
  • Excellent listening skills, creative with menu development, excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Tech savvy, with high proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
    • Experience with BEO software, Caterease, is preferred
    • Experience with Adobe Programs and Canva is preferred
  • Flexibility, ability to work extended or irregular hours to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work out of the POP Corporate Office in Atlanta, GA

Work Environment 
This position breakdown will be a variety of office work and event operations. Office work entails computer usage, interdepartmental meetings and communications via email, phone, and in person, and sorting and filing paperwork. Events may be in an outdoor setting with movement between temporary structures, buildings, and different terrains. 
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of moving through an event space and traveling to venues within the Greater Atlanta Region
  • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items
  • At times there will be prolonged times of sitting and computer usage.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 25 lbs.
Position Salary & Benefits:
  • This is considered a full-time position with a salary base + competitive commission structure
