As a Front-End Web Developer, you will have the opportunity to work on a large-scale world-wide cloud-based application platform that supports 80 million downloads of mobile apps, 9 petabytes of content served to users, and billions of page views. This platform includes both web-based features embedded in our mobile apps as well as full-scale web applications, such as our content-management system (CMS), which are used by both sports fans and sports teams around the world every day. The ideal candidate is a web developer who can create beautiful and awe-inspiring web-based user interfaces from product requirements and designs to deliver top-tier web-based products to sports fans and teams around the world. As a Front-End Web Developer, you will need to learn the company's existing products and web platforms quickly, and then use your skills to develop innovative products and features, both extending our existing platform and taking it in completely new directions.

We are an engineering-heavy company that designs and launches new products into the hands of passionate sports fans every few weeks.

We design and develop:
  • The official mobile applications for 180 professional sports teams and leagues, including the La Liga league app, the National Rugby League app (Australia), the apps of 24 NFL clubs (USA), the apps of 22 NBA teams (USA), the apps of 21 La Liga clubs (Spanish soccer), the apps of 18 AFL clubs (Australia), and the apps of New Zealand cricket and New Zealand Rugby, and more.
  • Augmented-reality (AR) experiences, to enable fans to unlock unique content and features by scanning unique markers created by sports teams.
  • Large-scale, low-latency, video-delivery platforms used inside stadiums such as the Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta Falcons/United), the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse (Cleveland Cavaliers), the Banc of California Stadium (LAFC), and Kyle Field (Texas A&M).

  • You will be responsible for designing, implementing, debugging, and delivering front-end web applications from the requirements stage all the way through to successful real-world deployment.
  • You will work on deploying your code to cloud-hosted infrastructure and help to manage the infrastructure that runs your code.
  • You will interface with our clients to discuss and refine requirements for the products that you will be building.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Willingness and ability to work the non-traditional hours of the sports industry.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS
  • Knowledge of common web network protocols, such as HTTP and SSL
  • Knowledge of standard web security practices, such as CORS
  • Knowledge of common data structures and algorithms, such as lists, sorting, etc.
  • Knowledge of debugging practices and tools, including profilers
  • Knowledge of asynchronous programming and callbacks
  • Ability to work with RESTful APIs using both XML and JSON data formats
  • Experience with web frameworks (Django, React, Ember, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience with Linux and standard Unix tools is a plus
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms is a plus
