D-BAT Lakeside is currently seeking a Baseball or Softball Instructor to join our Player Development Department. We are looking for a coach who is passionate about athlete growth and skilled in teaching hitting and/or throwing mechanics. This role focuses on providing high-level instruction, mentorship, and development planning for athletes of all ages.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The Instructor/Coach will be expected to:
- Implement an organizational hitting and/or throwing development program.
- Plan and execute daily training sessions for scheduled athletes.
- Analyze athlete performance using tools, reports, and technology.
- Create, prescribe, and monitor individualized development plans based on each athlete’s areas of opportunity.
- Collaborate with Strength & Performance staff to address physical limitations and enhance overall development.
- Communicate clearly with athletes and parents regarding plans, goals, and progress.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Collegiate or professional playing experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of modern player-development concepts and willingness to adapt to new information, tools, and technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with athletes, parents, and staff.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform movements such as bending, reaching, and throwing.
