Job Title: Lodging Manager
Location: Fort Collins, CO
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000
Job Type: Full-Time
TCS is adding another Lodging Manager to our team. This person will support our event staff, teams, families, hotels, and city partners. You will work closely with the event staff to exceed event revenue goals through strategic planning, negotiating contracts, and increasing room blocks.
Responsibilities include:
- Contract negotiations for profitable agreements for TCS, the hotels, along with providing value to our customers, the traveling families.
- Manage supplier relationships: develop and cultivate relationships with hotels, condos and city partners
- Develop strong partner relationships with Event Directors: participate in regular reviews to communicate market trends and provide strategies to help event partners meet their goals.
- Track / report on event performance and forecast revenue
- Perform administrative tasks such as regular hotel health checks, allocating complimentary staff rooms, and collections from hotel partners.
- Collaborate cross functionally with event staff, hotels, brand NSOs etc… to problem solve team and hotel experiences during events
- Provide excellent customer service working to help teams selecting and booking lodging to increase room nights and reservations per travelling team.
Minimum qualifications for this position:
- Consultative selling & negotiation skills with consistent track record in driving successful negotiations
- Ability to Travel to Assigned Markets
- Ability to multitask, thrive and be agile in a fast-paced environment
- A solid understanding and knowledge of the hotel and/or travel supplier industry
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills & strong interpersonal and customer relation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with others
- Ability to work independently as well as a team player
Preferred qualifications:
- Knowledge of the hotel industry, brand standards & hotel contracts
- Account management experience: presenting and meeting with partners along with the ability to retain and grow partnerships
- Hotel experience in group sales with knowledge and experience with reservation platforms or systems
- Experience working in East Coast markets or knowledge of regional hotel trends and citywide event dynamics
