Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Baseball Event Director to lead the planning, marketing, and execution of high-quality baseball tournaments. This role owns the end-to-end success of events — from building participation and partnerships to delivering exceptional on-site experiences for teams, families, and facility partners.

This position is ideal for a highly organized self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, values strong relationships, and takes pride in building premium events that keep customers coming back year after year.

A background in sports is helpful but not required. Experience in event leadership, customer experience, marketing, or relationship-based sales is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Event Leadership & Execution
  • Direct all aspects of assigned baseball events, ensuring a professional, well-organized, and positive experience for teams, players, families, and partners
  • Be present on-site at events to oversee operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality standards are met
  • Manage event logistics including schedules, facilities, staffing, and vendor coordination
Relationship Building
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with club teams, coaches, facility partners, school districts, and host communities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for teams before, during, and after events
  • Drive retention by delivering consistently high-level customer experiences
Marketing & Event Growth
  • Market events using a mix of phone, email, text, and social media outreach
  • Proactively recruit teams and build participation for assigned events
  • Collaborate with internal teams on branding, promotions, and event positioning
Organization & Financial Management
  • Manage event budgets, expenses, and operational efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records, timelines, and communications
  • Balance multiple events and priorities simultaneously, especially during peak season

Required Skills & Attributes
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Comfortable working long hours and weekends during event season
  • Confident communicator via phone, email, text, and in person
  • Adaptable and calm in fast-changing environments
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and results-oriented

Preferred Experience & Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in event management, sports operations, hospitality, or customer-facing leadership roles
  • Experience in marketing, sales, or event promotion
  • Budget management and operational planning experience
  • Existing relationships in club or youth sports (helpful, not required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Sports Management, Marketing, Business, or related field — or equivalent professional experience

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $50,000–$70,000, commensurate with experience
  • Health insurance available after 1 month of employment
  • 401(k) eligibility after 1 year
  • Paid Time Off and Holiday Schedule
  • Opportunities for growth and advancement within a dynamic, family-owned organization
