Located in the vibrant Atlanta Metro area, Trilith LIVE is designed to host concerts, rehearsals, live audience productions, conventions, corporate meetings, performing arts, tradeshows, exhibitions, special events, and much more. Spanning 530,000 square feet, Trilith LIVE features a 2,200-seat theater, 50,000 square feet of sound stages, multi-purpose meeting rooms, support space, dressing rooms, green rooms, production offices, suites, wardrobe, audience holding areas, outdoor plaza areas, full-service catering and concessions, box office, and a 730-space parking deck.
Trilith LIVE is seeking a detail-oriented, safety-focused Venue Electrician to join our operations team. This hands-on role will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting lighting and electrical systems in the day-to-day operations of the entire Trilith LIVE facility and across a variety of event types. The Venue Electrician will collaborate with multiple departments to make sure each event runs smoothly, and every guest experience is powered by safety and reliability.
Essential Responsibilities
- Keep the mission, vision, and values of Trilith LIVE at the forefront of decision making and action; build strategic and collaborative relationships and interact with others in a way that builds confidence and trust; provide excellent customer service by taking action to accomplish objectives, maintain high levels of work and productivity by generating innovative solutions to work situations.
- Interpret and install lighting plots, electrical schematics, lighting instruments, and power distribution systems in accordance with production and venue requirements.
- Conduct routine maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of lighting, power equipment, cabling, lighting consoles, and distribution panels.
- Provide electrical support for events hosted at Trilith LIVE.
- Assist with setting up and strike operations for temporary and permanent electrical systems, managing load-ins, loadouts, and event transitions.
- Respond promptly to technical issues during events, maintaining production continuity and guest experience.
- Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of electrical equipment, consumables (e.g., gels, gobos, tape), and system configurations.
- Enforce safety protocols, perform regular inspections, and ensure compliance with occupational and venue-specific electrical safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code and local regulations.
- Collaborate with contractors and other job site professionals.
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support event operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or apprenticeship in electrical systems or stage electrics preferred.
- 2- 4 years of experience in venue, theatrical, event, or live production electrical work experience.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, lighting plots, wiring diagrams, and using lighting control consoles.
- Experience and comfort working with commercial electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to safely climb heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate power tools and stage rigging equipment.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability in fast-paced event environments.
- Willingness to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to complete work orders accurately and independently.
- Must demonstrate a detailed working knowledge of systems and structures, tools, instruments, and proper procedures related to the maintenance and repair of commercial building equipment and systems.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
- Work involves extensive walking, standing, climbing, and physical manipulation of lighting infrastructure.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds and work at heights using lifts, ladders, or catwalks.
- Noise levels are often moderate to loud during events.
