TrackTown USA is seeking a Social Media Producer to execute social media-first content for TrackTown USA’s portfolio of events while advancing TrackTown USA’s mission to make Eugene, Oregon the premier track and field destination in the world. 
 
TrackTown USA, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to setting a standard of excellence in hosting premier track and field events, creating a supportive environment for elite athletic performances, being a leader in sustainable sport practices, and inspiring the next generation of track and field athletes and fans. The organization was responsible for organizing the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships, the 2015, 2022, 2023, and 2025 USATF Outdoor Championships, the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Portland, and the 2016, 2020, and 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials—Track & Field. In partnership with USA Track & Field, the organization brought the 2022 World Athletics Championships to the United States for the first time. TrackTown delivers the Wanda Diamond League’s recurring Prefontaine Classic, recognized as one of the world’s best track and field meets.   
 
In 2026, TrackTown USA looks forward to once again hosting The Prefontaine Classic, as well as welcoming the world to Oregon for the 2026 World Athletics U20 Championships Oregon 26. 


Position Overview
The Social Media Producer will work directly with the Director, Digital Marketing and Communications on the creation and execution of social media-first content for TrackTown USA’s portfolio of events. This position will ideate and create social media-first content for the TrackTown USA, The Prefontaine Classic, and the World Athletics Under 20 Championships Oregon 26 social media channels with an emphasis on vertical, short form videos, while assisting the Social Media Manager with publication of all content when assigned.

Reporting Lines
The Social Media Producer will report to and be supervised by the Director of Digital Marketing and Communications. The Social Media Producer will be accountable for projects to which they are assigned.

Primary Responsibilities
This position is primarily responsible for the following duties:
1.     Managing the TikTok accounts of TrackTown USA's portfolio of events, including, but not limited to, TrackTown USA, Pre Classic, and World Athletics U20 TikTok accounts.
2.     Filming and editing cell phone captured video relevant to TrackTown USA’s portfolio of events, relevant community events, and audience interests for direct distribution via Company TikTok accounts, as well as delivery to the Social Media Manager for publication on additional Company social media channels.
3.     Assist the Social Media Manager in publication to Company social media channels, as determined by the content calendar, when assigned.
4.     Stay up-to-speed on social media trends and provide ideas on how TrackTown USA’s portfolio of events can tap into them.
5.     Contribute to ideation and execution of brand and retail shoots and coverage, including, but not limited to, merchandise launches, special events, and ticket and brand campaigns.
6.     Fulfill content requests from the Social Media Manager for social media-first content to meet content calendar needs, including, but not limited to, curated galleries and social media-first video.
7.     Bring fresh and pie-in-the-sky ideas to the Content and Brand teams.
8.     Assist the video team in ideation for digital-first video content. 
9.     Creating effective operating plans for assigned functional areas, programs and venues for assigned events.
10.   Delivering projects that meet (and hopefully exceed) the expected results on time and within budget.
11.   Establishing, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on assigned projects.
12.   Recruiting, training and managing the people necessary to deliver assigned projects.
13.   Developing and managing effective client relationships.
14.   Developing and managing effective supplier relationships.
15.   Providing leadership, management, motivation, and support to assigned project teams.
16.   Being responsible for all assigned project budgets from start to finish.
17.   Overseeing applicable contracts and payment schedules.
18.   Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery.
19.   Working all hours assigned, including weekends and holidays if necessary
