TrackTown USA is seeking a Photography Intern as part of its 2026 Content Internship program to help advance TrackTown USA’s mission to make Eugene, Oregon the premier track and field destination in the world. 
 
TrackTown USA, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to setting a standard of excellence in hosting premier track and field events, creating a supportive environment for elite athletic performances, being a leader in sustainable sport practices, and inspiring the next generation of track and field athletes and fans. The organization was responsible for organizing the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships, the 2015, 2022, 2023, and 2025 USATF Outdoor Championships, the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Portland, and the 2016, 2020, and 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials—Track & Field. In partnership with USA Track & Field, the organization brought the 2022 World Athletics Championships to the United States for the first time. TrackTown delivers the Wanda Diamond League’s recurring Prefontaine Classic, recognized as one of the world’s best track and field meets.   
 
In 2026, TrackTown USA looks forward to once again hosting The Prefontaine Classic, as well as welcoming the world to Oregon for the World Athletics U20 Championships Oregon 26. 

POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the direction of the Chief Content Officer and the position’s respective mentor, the Content Intern cohort will aid in the coordination and execution of all assigned projects and event coverage with primary objectives dedicated to increasing reach, brand awareness, and online audience engagement. This position requires in-person attendance in Eugene, Oregon for all noted events from April 1, 2026 until August 15, 2026.

Content Intern: Photography (1)
o   Play a key role in brainstorming and developing photo-based content for website, email, and social media distribution
o   Provide photo coverage of all TTUSA events, as outlined below
o   Be available to assist at all TTUSA events, as outlined below
o   Implement guidance and feedback provided by mentor Howard Lao, freelance photographer and TrackTown USA’s lead event photographer

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-        Excellent written and oral communication skills
-        Ability to work accurately and effectively on tight deadlines
-        Demonstrated experience with and/or commitment to working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, in support of an inclusive and welcoming environment
-        Willing and able to work extended hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and academic breaks as needed, including all TrackTown events as required
-        Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when the need arises
-        Passionate about the advancement of the sport of track & field
-        Strong organizational skills
-        Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
-        Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom
-        Must be a college student enrolled at an accredited university

TIME REQUIREMENTS
Willing and able to complete the following time requirements. All event coverage will take place in Eugene.
-        Monthly cohort meetings | April -- August: 2 hours/ea, exact dates TBD
-        In-office hours, as assigned, approximately 5 hours/week and to be scheduled around availability and class schedules
-        Oregon Relays | April 3-4, 2026: up to 6 hours/day, pending competition schedule
-        Oregon Team Invite | April 17-18, 2026: up to 6 hours/day, pending competition schedule
-        Eugene Marathon |April 24-26, 2026: up to 6 hours/day, pending event schedule
-        Oregon Twilight | May 8, 2026: up to 6 hours, pending competition schedule
-        OSAA State Track & Field Championships | May 28-30, 2026: up to 4 hours/day, pending competition schedule
-        NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships | June 10-13, 2026: Up to 8 hours/day, pending competition schedule
-        Nike Outdoor Nationals |June 18-22, 2026: up to 6 hours/day, pending competition schedule
-        The Prefontaine Classic | July 1-4, 2026: up to 8 hours/day, pending event schedule
-        World Athletics U20 Championships Oregon 26 | August 5-9, 2026: Up to 8 hours/day, pending competition schedule
