TrackTown USA is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Director of Development to lead fundraising initiatives with a primary focus on major gifts. This role will be responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors, corporations, and foundations in support of TrackTown USA’s premier events, youth engagement programs, and long-term sustainability.
The Director will work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, Board of Directors, and senior leadership team to design and implement fundraising strategies that expand TrackTown’s philanthropic base and deepen donor engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Major Gifts & Donor Relations
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit prospects capable of large philanthropic gifts.
- Build and manage a portfolio of 75–100 major gift prospects and donors.
- Develop personalized strategies for donor engagement and stewardship.
- Strategic Development Leadership
- Create and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan aligned with TrackTown USA’s mission and strategic priorities.
- Partner with the CRO and Board of Directors to engage top prospects and leverage peer-to-peer networks.
- Lead donor communications, proposals, and impact reporting.
- Events & Campaigns
- Oversee donor recognition and hospitality programs during signature TrackTown USA events.
- Contribute to capital campaigns, planned giving initiatives, and annual fund development.
- Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work across departments to integrate fundraising into marketing, sponsorship, and community engagement efforts.
- Supervise and mentor development and community engagement staff and interns as needed.
- Other Duties as Assigned: The Director of Sponsorship Sales may also be responsible for performing other duties as assigned by the Chief Revenue Officer. These additional tasks will be in line with the overall objectives of the role and will provide opportunities for professional growth and development.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive fundraising experience, with a proven track record in major gift solicitation.
- Strong relationship-building, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience working with nonprofit boards and high-net-worth individuals.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Passion for Track & Field and the mission of TrackTown USA is highly desirable.
