Position Summary:
The Technician is responsible for the maintenance, installation, and upkeep of landscaped areas and turf systems. This role requires hands-on experience with landscaping equipment, the ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments, and strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality results. Travel is included in the role.
The Technician is responsible for the maintenance, installation, and upkeep of landscaped areas and turf systems. Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in landscaping, turf management, grounds maintenance, construction, or a related field
- Proven experience operating commercial landscaping equipment and tools
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems, including troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial landscaping equipment, including mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, and leaf blowers
- Perform general grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and debris removal
- Assist with installation of landscaping elements such as sod, plants, mulch, and stone
- Conduct irrigation system repairs and routine maintenance
- Safely operate power tools and light machinery, including skid steers (if applicable)
- Manage and execute assigned projects while adhering to timelines and quality standards
- Identify and adapt to changing site conditions, addressing issues as they arise
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials such as sod, stone, and equipment
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks including digging, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
