Premier Sport Psychology is looking for a Licensed Athletic Counselor to join our dynamic and collaborative team. In this role, you'll work directly with athletes, coaches, and teams to support both mental health and performance goals—blending traditional counseling with cutting-edge sport psychology tools.
What You’ll Do:
As a Licensed Athletic Counselor, you will:
- Provide individual counseling and mental performance services to athletes of all ages and competitive levels
- Collaborate with our in-house team of psychologists and mental performance consultants
- Design and deliver workshops, presentations, and group sessions for teams, coaches, and staff
- Partner with medical and training professionals to integrate mental skills into overall performance plans
- Apply tools like mindfulness, emotional regulation, focus, imagery, and confidence training
- Provide crisis intervention support when needed
- Build and nurture strong relationships with referral sources
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and uphold licensing standards
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in a behavioral health field
- Licensed or license-eligible in Minnesota (LP, LPC, LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, etc.)
- 1+ years of experience in applied sport psychology or mental performance coaching
- Experience providing culturally responsive services to diverse populations
- Strong communicator and collaborator who thrives in a team-focused, high-performance environment
- Flexible and adaptable—able to work nontraditional hours as needed (evenings/weekends)
- CMPC certification preferred (or willingness to pursue)

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $70,000 – $85,000/year (based on experience, licensure, and credentials)
