Position Overview:
Are you a results-driven sales manager with a passion for sports and proven track record of success managing a sales team? Would you like to ride the wave with a new fast-growing sports collectibles brand? We need you. Players Pins makes patent-pending collectible sports pins made custom for professional sports teams promotions (MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS). Players Pins is looking for a highly motivated US-based remote Sales Manager to lead our team of 3 regional Sales Account Executives (sales reps) and 1 inside salesperson.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and keep sales team accountable for individual sales quotas and team goals
- Train new sales team members and guide through the process of prospecting to closing and reorders.
- Implement and reinforce NEPQ (Jeremy Miner) based questioning and communication techniques to improve connection and orders.
- Manage the promotional sales section of the CRM ensuring accuracy of contacts, accounts, and deals.
- Ensure that the sales team maintains accurate records of client interactions and sales activities
- Assist with negotiations, including cross-sell, upsell, barters, and closing deals as needed.
- Refine commission structures, bonuses and incentives, and performance targets.
- Conduct weekly 1:1s with each person the sales team and lead the weekly sales team meeting.
- Participate in a weekly meeting to provide a direct report to the two co-founders.
- Approve all preliminary invoices before they are sent to prospects and customers.
- Manage all mass communication to promotional contacts
- Develop sales assets with Marketing
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor activity, and product developments
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand your network
- Manage all travel and events for promotional sales team
- Other Responsibilities may include:
- Manage nation-wide promotional accounts and/or retail accounts
Skills and Qualifications (No single qualification is required):
- A fan of sports, interested in collectibles, pop culture, and fashion
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Marketing or a related field
- 2+ years of sales experience in an account management, or a similar role
- 2+ years of sales management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer focus and the ability to build lasting relationships
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in CRM software (Monday.com preferred)
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on different projects simultaneously
- Ability to travel to attend sports games, meet, and entertain customers
- Goal-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets
Compensation:
- $36,000 per year + 3.33% commission on sales = expected total compensation of $141K first year.
- No cap on commissions.
- No health benefits in the first year.
- Unlimited PTO.
