The Vice President, Partnerships & Sales position is responsible for overseeing and driving revenue through the sale of tournament assets to include but not limited to sponsorships, hospitality, Pro-Am participation, and experiential partnerships for the JM Eagle LA Championship (Official LPGA Tour event) with secondary goals of selling across Outlyr’s event portfolio (including 7 other LPGA events) and generating new business opportunities for the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES + DUTIES
· Oversee the annual sales cycle of the JM Eagle LA Championship.
· Work closely with direct reports, the tournament teams and host sites to develop tournament sales products, pricing and revenue goals.
· Develop and execute the delivery and presentation of all sales collateral.
· Manage the creation of sales presentations by identifying the objectives of brands and providing best-in-class solutions.
· Develop, research, and execute an extensive and efficient prospect outreach strategy in southern California with the goal of generating meetings with key decision makers and closing deals.
· Drive significant revenue through the sale of the sponsorships, hospitality, Pro-Am events and experiential partnerships.
· Cultivate and steward strong relationships with senior decision-makers and community leaders that lead to renewals and growth over time.
· Assist with the development and execution of contracts and collection of accounts receivables.
· Show accountability through diligent pipeline tracking and reporting and budget management.
· Lead the planning and implementation of activation plans for all sponsors.
· Opportunity to solicit and secure partnerships at other Outlyr events / programs.
· Assist with other functions as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Proven track record of measurable success in sales including a minimum of 8-10 years in partnership sales experience.
· Knowledge and experience in negotiating partnerships and administering contracts.
· Excellent verbal, written communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
· Significant knowledge of the golf industry and the Los Angeles marketplace.
· MS Office and Sponsor United proficiency preferred.
· Strong negotiating, problem solving and analytical skills.
· Ability and flexibility for weekend/holiday work as needed.
· Must be available to work full time in the Los Angeles, CA market.
· Willingness to travel up to 15% for support in other markets.
