OVERVIEW | MAVRKS
The Marketing Intern (“Mavrk”) will work closely with the marketing team and tournament staff to gain hands-on experience across a range of sports marketing and event management functions. This role will support local marketing initiatives, communications, on-site activations, and overall event planning across LIV Golf Tour events. The New Orleans team will be hiring two (2) Mavrk Marketing-Communications positions in 2026. Events will include:

·       LIV Golf Louisiana (LA) – June 25-28
 
RESPONSIBILITIES + DUTIES
  • Support the management of creative services, promotions, and deliverables for upcoming LIV Golf events
  • Engage with the community at local events to promote the event, drive ticket sales, and generate excitement
  • Maintain and update internal trackers, including creative requests and local marketing partner records
  • Oversee collateral inventory and assist with ordering marketing materials
  • Conduct outreach to local marketing partners, such as universities, restaurants, bars, and sports teams
  • Assist with planning and executing pre-event and on-site promotions in collaboration with the local marketing team
  • Monitor the ticketing database and prepare weekly status reports
  • Provide support for the media day event, including logistics and media needs, as needed
  • Respond to general event inquiries, including dates, schedules, and ticket information
  • Coordinate and implement projects independently with minimal supervision
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned
  • This position is primarily remote (work from home), with required on-site support for several weeks during key periods

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Extensive study in a related field (marketing, business or event management)
  • Previous event experience a plus
  • Polished communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong ability to demonstrate initiative, solve problems and work effectively under pressure while working as part of a team as well as independently 
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Collaborative in nature with “no job is too small” mentality 
  • Must be available to work full time in the New Orleans, LA market
  • Willingness to work weekends and non-standard hours
  • Interest in sports marketing and event management as a career
