OVERVIEW | EVENT INTERNS
We are looking for a hard-working, organized individual with a passion for event management to join the Outlyr Internship Program, supporting the preparation + execution of the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give at Blythefield Country Club. These individuals must be available to work full-time in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give is premier LPGA tournament held at Blythefield Country Club, June 15-21, 2026. The 12th year of the tournament that has raised over $13 million for the Simply Give program to help stock shelves at food pantries across six states. The award-winning J. Brewer’s | Frederik’s culinary experience returns bigger than ever.
This position offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world event management experience including partner communication, onsite logistics, marketing skills and event planning tactics. The right candidate will be able to work collaboratively with our team and will need polished communication skills to engage with community stakeholders, clients, vendors and volunteers. Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and a commitment to “Every Experience Matters” are required for these positions.

Events Intern: One Month or Two Month Options (May and June 2026)
- Work closely with event staff to plan and execute tournament related events
- Assist with implementation of sponsor programs & onsite activations
- Support with planning, set-up, and tear-down of event initiatives including multiple Pro-Ams, the Meijer LPGA Classic 5K, Volunteer Distribution, Junior Clinic, Activations, Hospitality and Special Events as needed.
- Fulfillment + delivery of ticketing packages for event sponsors
- Assist with merchandise fulfillment for clients
- Assist with daily set up and tear down each dayCarry out assigned tasks with limited supervision, including coordinating and implementing projects as assigned
