We are looking for a hard-working, organized individual with a passion for event management to join the Outlyr Internship Program, supporting the preparation + execution of the BITE Food Festival that takes place alongside the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, held in Rogers, AR September 21-27, 2026. This individual must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, onsite in Rogers, AR. The dates of this internship are July 13-October 2. Hours during the timeframe of September 14-28 are expected to be more than 40 hours, with night and weekend work required.
The #NWAChampionship is the premier professional sporting event in the NW Arkansas area with a focus on making the region a better place to live and work. Over the past 20 years, the tournament has grown into so much more than a sporting event, now offering events + activities for the entire community to enjoy. The BITE Food Festival Event Intern will support the day-to-day preparations of the onsite food festival taking place at Pinnacle Country Club during the Walmart LPGA event.
This position offer a unique opportunity to gain real-world event management experience, including partner and restaurant communication, onsite logistics, marketing skills and event planning tactics. The right candidate will be able to work collaboratively with our team and will need polished communication skills to engage with community stakeholders, clients, vendors and volunteers. Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and a commitment to “Every Experience Matters” are required for these positions.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
· You have a passion for and expertise in sports, entertainment, gaming, music and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture
· Self-starter with “can-do” attitude
· Experience in a related field preferred
· Must be available to work full time in Rogers, AR office
· Strong communication skills, both written and oral
· Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, and solve problems independently
· Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and Internet
· Extremely organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
· Interest in sports and event marketing as a career
· Willingness to work weekends and nonstandard hours particularly during September
· Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
DETAILS ON THIS POSITION
- Local restaurant recruitment & communication
- Document creation and design using Powerpoint and/or Canva
- Third-party vendor communication
- Onsite logistics and planning, including physical labor to execute the event
- Coordinate product deliveries and storage plan
- Assist with BITE marketing & ticketing efforts
- Support a one-off BITE event hosted on July 3 in Fayetteville, AR
- Support overall tournament sustainability initiative
