Facility Operations/Event Staff: Facility/Venue Management
Job Summary
The Fields Supervisor will assist with field set up, moving field equipment, general maintenance, and guest services. The Fields Supervisor will assist with managing league and event operations during game day activities, including team check-in, spectator management, and communication. The position crosses two departments, Grounds and Maintenance and Operations and involves exclusively night and weekend hours.
Responsibilities
Grounds and Maintenance:
Set up field equipment based on scheduled activities
Assists customers in moving equipment based on their specific needs.
General repair and maintenance of equipment
Removing trash and basic cleaning of equipment, restrooms, field areas, and common areas · Basic facility security functions
Other duties as assigned
League Operations:
Check in teams for youth and adult leagues
Assist guests with onsite schedule and customer service questions
Monitor games and spectators for behavioral issues and assist referees with spectator problems.
Score reporting for internal leagues and events
Event Management:
Assist Event Manager in the planning and execution of event operations plan
Act as primary or secondary point of contact for events held at AHCF and MD SoccerPlex including tournaments, stadium events, and special events.
Assist in the managing event staff during assigned events
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Knowledge about youth sports and particularly the soccer community in the United States
Superior oral and written communications skills
Effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks
Working knowledge about Microsoft Office Suite, VoIP Phone Systems, and operations of security alarms and cameras
Preferred Skills and Qualities
Positive attitude and personality
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, self-starter, and highly motivated Additional Requirements
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to work weekends, nights and irregular hours as needed
Ability to work in varying climates including extreme cold and heat
Ability to work in varying physical positions including standing, kneeling, seated, at height and the use of assistance equipment such ladders, lifts, and motor vehicles
Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record
Reliable transportation
Employment contingent upon successful completion of a background check and proof of COVID vaccination.
Salary
$15.00-$18.00/hr. based on experience
