Ticket Sales Intern
This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in sports event operations, customer service, and sales. As a Ticket Sales Intern you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for attendees, helping to sell and manage tickets for our basketball events.
Responsibilities
○ Assist in the sale of event wristbands.
○ Generate new ticket sales
○ Provide customers with event information, pricing, and schedule details.
○ Accurately process payments and provide change or receipts as necessary.
○ Help ensure that all sales data is entered into the system accurately.
○ Greet customers and assist with any questions or concerns related to ticketing or event details.
○ Handle customer inquiries regarding ticket availability, prices, and policies.
○ Address and resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner to ensure satisfaction.
○ Monitor entrance points and ensure that tickets are validated for entry.
○ Maintain a clean and organized ticket sales area.
○ Work alongside other event staff to ensure a seamless event experience for all attendees.
○ Maintain accurate records of all complimentary ticket distributions, including tickets provided to sponsors, nonprofit organizations, and promotional giveaways.
○ Contacting qualified leads to generate ticket sales revenue through season tickets, group outings, premium sales, and other ticket packages.
○ Calling on local organizations, businesses, non-profits, youth sports teams, schools, and individuals.
○ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
● Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable speaking with customers in person, over the phone, and via email.
● Excellent customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude.
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Self-motivated with the ability to meet sales goals and work independently.
● Comfortable using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; experience with CRM or ticketing software is a plus.
● Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
● Passion for sports and providing exceptional fan experiences.
● Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
● Available to work home games, special events, and evenings or weekends.

Job Requirements
● Availability: Work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the sports calendar.
● Physical Demands: Stand for long hours, walk throughout large venues or stadiums, and lift heavy items (often up to 30–50 pounds).
