This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community engagement, business development, and partnership management within the fast-paced sports industry. As a Community Partner Outreach Intern, you will play a vital role in fostering relationships with local businesses and organizations, expanding our community presence, and contributing to the growth of Jersey Shore Breaks. We are seeking a proactive and relationship-focused individual eager to make a significant impact and develop valuable skills in sales, marketing, and community relations.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for existing community partners, ensuring their successful involvement, including game day activations.
  • Organize and coordinate team appearances at community partner events, enhancing brand visibility.
  • Research and identify prospective local and regional businesses for new partnership opportunities.
  • Develop compelling and customized partnership proposals that align with the Jersey Shore Breaks brand and objectives.
  • Present new sales opportunities to potential partners.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Game Operations departments to create and execute mutually beneficial partnerships and integrated promotional assets.
  • Manage the renewal process for existing partners, ensuring continued engagement and satisfaction.
  • Attend all home games to cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and generate new leads.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with our client base through consistent client touchpoints, including outbound phone calls, strategic email communications, and in-game/out-of-office appointments.
  • Work with the Ticket Sales Team and other game staff to enhance the game day experience for all fans and partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned for the effective operation of the department.

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable making outbound phone calls and engaging professionally with business stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented with excellent time management abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (e.g., Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides).
  • Interest in sports management, marketing, business development, or sales is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is preferred for attending meetings and community events.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the athletic event calendar.

Position Details:
  • Type: Internship / Part-Time (Academic Credit)
  • Schedule: Weekdays as needed, Evenings and weekends required; based on athletic event schedule.
