Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties and tasks and provide outstanding customer service in support of the Christmas Nights of Lights event at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The event commences on November 7th and ends on December 31st. The event opens daily at 6:00pm, and employees must be onsite and ready for work at 5:45pm. Shifts are 4.5 to 6.5 hours in length. Weekend and holiday work will be mandatory with bonus pay for holiday work. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Provide an outstanding guest experience to all customers in hopes of growing holiday memories and traditions.
2. Monitor traffic flow throughout the event and troubleshoot backups or other possible incidents.
3. Direct traffic flow when necessary.
4. Be prepared to work outdoors in winter temperatures and weather.
5. Attend mandatory paid training on November 5th at 4:00pm.

Skill Requirements
1. Situational Awareness: Able to observe surroundings, identify congestion and anticipate potential hazards.
2. Communication Skills: Able to provide clear, professional verbal communication with guests.
3. Customer Service: Has a polite, approachable demeanor when directing guests, answering questions or handling complaints.
4. Weather Adaptability: Is prepared to work outdoors in winter temperatures and weather.
5. Physical Stamina: Able to remain awake and alert for the duration of one’s shift.

Education/Experience
· Previous customer service experience is desired but not required.

Job Complexity
Work requires performance of a variety of operations of a recurring nature.

Supervisory Responsibilities
None

Supervision Received
This position will receive supervision from Christmas Nights of Lights event supervisors. Actions are clearly specified and directed by the supervisor or by procedures. The supervisor will assign and review work.
