Indiana Sports Corp provides internship opportunities that immerse students in a professional working environment while introducing them to the not-for-profit industry. Internships are available based on business needs and can include event and volunteer operations; communications; marketing; graphic design; community engagement; sports tourism; business development; and finance. ISC’s fast paced and entrepreneurial working environment offers each intern a rich experience within his/her chosen area; however, interns are exposed to all functional areas of the company to reinforce the important role collaboration plays in a successful company.
Position Overview
Volunteer Program internship will specifically focus on efforts related to the Indiana Sports Corp Volunteer Program, including volunteer recruitment, registration, communication, event operations, and appreciation for upcoming events. The intern will gain knowledge and experience through assisting with volunteer onboarding, creating training materials, coordinating the volunteer operations at events, and volunteer customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with managing and updating the volunteer registration system for various events including Charity Golf Tournament, Corporate Challenge, and more!
- Conducting volunteer outreach to fulfill volunteer shifts
- Creating volunteer training and onboarding materials
- Assisting with volunteer communications prior to, during, and post-event
- Managing volunteer operations onsite at assigned events
- Creating opportunities for volunteer feedback like surveys
- Developing and executing volunteer appreciation/recognition opportunities
- Assisting with ISC engagement strategies for volunteers and committee members.
- Supporting event planning efforts for marketing and engagement events/meetings such as Locker Room Lunches, Volunteer Engagement Series, committee meetings, and community events
- Executing tasks related to event marketing plans
- Assisting with concepting and implementing creative strategies around marketing & engagement efforts
- Assisting with community engagement, community events, and activations throughout the city
Qualifications
Undergraduate Students
- Currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university
Graduate Students/ Recent Graduates
- Recently graduated from or currently enrolled in an accredited graduate program
Term: Summer 2026 – May 18, 2026 - July 31, 2026
Schedule: 4-5 days per week (approximately 30-40 hours/week)
Compensation: $2000 stipend for the internship term
Location: On-site - Indianapolis, Indiana. Relocation or housing is not available
