Indiana Sports Corp provides internship opportunities that immerse students in a professional working environment while introducing them to the not-for-profit industry. Internships are available based on business needs and can include event and volunteer operations; communications; marketing; graphic design; community engagement; sports tourism; business development; and finance. ISC’s fast paced and entrepreneurial working environment offers each intern a rich experience within his/her chosen area; however, interns are exposed to all functional areas of the company to reinforce the important role collaboration plays in a successful company.
Position Overview
The Marketing & Communications Internship is designed to expand a student’s knowledge and hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and event promotion. Interns will play an active role in supporting campaigns and media operations for a robust lineup of major events in late 2026 including the Inaugural Big Ten Volleyball Tournament, the Discover Big Ten Football Championship Game, and the Indy Classic.

The Marketing & Communications Internship is designed to expand a student’s knowledge and hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and event promotion. Interns will play an active role in supporting campaigns and media operations for a robust lineup of major events in late 2026 including the Inaugural Big Ten Volleyball Tournament, the Discover Big Ten Football Championship Game, and the Indy Classic.
Key Responsibilities:
Interns will work closely with the marketing and communications team to assist with:
- Email Marketing: Assist with the creation, scheduling, and management of targeted email campaigns.
- Event Media Operations: Aid in pre-event setup and on-site media logistics.
- Public Relations: Draft and edit media advisories, press releases, and promotional copy.
- Media Monitoring: Track press coverage and compile media reports for internal and external use.
- Content Planning & Calendar Management: Assist in building and maintaining a multi-channel content calendar aligned with key event milestones and marketing priorities.
Preferred Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences
- Basic understanding of public relations practices, including press release writing and media outreach
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail, especially in content creation, proofreading, and campaign execution
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
- Interest in sports, live events, or sports tourism industries
Qualifications
Undergraduate and Graduate Students
Must be currently pursuing or have recently earned a degree from an accredited undergraduate or graduate program
Internship Details
Term: September 8, 2026 – December 20, 2026
Schedule: 4-5 days per week (approximately 30-40 hours/week)
Stipend: $2000
