Indiana Sports Corp offers hands-on internship opportunities that immerse students in the fast-paced world of sports event management and not-for-profit operations. Depending on business needs, internships are available across areas such as event and volunteer operations, communications, marketing, graphic design, community engagement, sports tourism, business development, and finance. ISC’s fast-paced and entrepreneurial working environment offers each intern a rich experience within his/her chosen area; however, interns are exposed to all functional areas of the company to reinforce the important role collaboration plays in a successful company.
Position Overview
The Event Operations Intern will play a key role in supporting the planning and execution of major sporting events, with a focus on logistics, participant services, and on-site operations. Spring events include the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships and a series of high-profile basketball tournaments. Those events include the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Conference Tournament, NCAA Division II, and III Basketball Championships, Men’s NIT Championship, and extensive involvement in the planning and delivery of the 2026 Men’s Final Four and its ancillary events.
General Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
- Support event planning and logistics coordination.
- Assist with registration setup and participant services.
- Help manage event communications, schedules, and timeline updates.
- Coordinate vendor orders and deliveries.
- Contribute to hospitality planning and execution.
- Assist with meeting coordination and note-taking.
- Provide on-site support at assigned events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure event success.
- Represent Indiana Sports Corp as a professional ambassador in the community.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications
Undergraduate Students:
• Any undergraduate student who is currently enrolled or accepted to an accredited college or university.
Graduate Students:
• Any student who has recently graduated from an accredited college or university or any student who is currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited graduate school.
Required Skills
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Time management skills, multi-tasking abilities, and team player
• Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary
Preferred Skills
• Comfortable presenting to large and small groups of people
• Able to think critically in high-pressure situations
• Experience working with volunteers and/or managing and motivating people
Term: Spring 2026 (Jan-May)
Schedule: 4–5 days per week (30–40 hours/week)
Compensation: $2,000 per semester
Location: On-site in Indianapolis, Indiana (relocation or housing not provided)
