Indiana Sports Corp provides internship opportunities that immerse students in a professional working environment while introducing them to the not-for-profit industry. Internships are available based on business needs and can include event and volunteer operations; communications; marketing; graphic design; community engagement; sports tourism; business development; and finance.  ISC’s fast paced and entrepreneurial working environment offers each intern a rich experience within his/her chosen area; however, interns are exposed to all functional areas of the company to reinforce the important role collaboration plays in a successful company.
Term:  Fall 2024 - September 9, 2024 - December 15, 2024.
Compensation:  $2000 Stipend.  Payment schedule discussed during the interview.
Location:  On-site - Indianapolis, Indiana.  Relocation or housing is not available.

The Community Engagement internship will be specifically focused on grassroots promotional and community outreach efforts to raise awareness, increase engagement, and share opportunities related to our future events. The intern will gain knowledge and experience through managing promotional inventory, creating promotional plans, developing face-to-face engagement strategies, executing tasks related to our individual membership program, assisting with the development of our overall engagement strategy and coordinating event logistics.
This internship experience will include:
  • Organizing and coordinating promotional booths at events.
  • Assist with developing engagement strategy for promotional event opportunities and plan for follow up with those that interact with our mission and events including, Big Ten Football Championship, 2024 Indy Classic, and more!
  • Assist in organizing and inventorying promotional items at the warehouse.
  • Support event planning efforts for marketing and engagement events/meetings such as Locker Room Lunches, State of Sports, committee meetings, and community events.
  • Execute tasks related to event marketing plans including the Big Ten Football Championship and Indiana Sports Corp Fundraisers
  • Attend various meetings, schedule follow-ups, and draft proposals.
  • Execute tasks related to engagement with advocates and stakeholders.
  • Assist in concepting and implementing creative strategies around marketing & engagement efforts.
  • Assist with 2024 Big Ten Football Championship community engagement, community events, and activations throughout the city.
  • Assist with plans and prep for 2026 Men’s Final Four grassroots marketing efforts. 
Requirements:
Undergraduate
Any undergraduate student who is currently enrolled or accepted to an accredited college or university. 
Graduate
Any student who has recently graduated from an accredited college or university or any student who is currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited graduate school.
