NOW HIRING (FT and PT) Ice Rink Technicians for the 2025-26 Season for our ice rink in Homestead, Florida.
The City of Homestead is presenting the first annual ice skating rink, located in Losner Park.
Ice-America is proud to produce (the ice rink name), and we are currently hiring both a Full Time and Park Time Ice Rink Technician for this location. Skaters and non-skaters alike are encouraged to apply for this fun and exciting event designed to engage the community during the holiday season!

Ideal candidates would be available beginning 11/7/2025 through 1/23/2026.
Ice Rink Technicians: Hiring (FT/PT) Ice Technicians with experience in ice maintenance, ice resurfacing, skate sharpening, and mechanical skills. Having an understanding of refrigeration systems is helpful. Basic plumbing and carpentry skills are beneficial to the role. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Candidates will need to be self-motivated, have a strong sense of urgency, and possess the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills are required. Ice Tech will be responsible for day-to-day ice maintenance, resurfacing, and following Ice-America reporting policies. CPR and First Aid certifications preferred but not required. Compensation dependent upon experience ranging from $22/hour to $25/hour.
The Ice Technician acts as an Ice-America representative and must have the ability to maintain client relationships. Responsible for eliminating safety hazards, reducing controllable expenses, and the day-to-day maintenance operations of a temporary ice skating surface.
Qualifications:
- Proven prior experience in ice rink operations, with 1-2 years operational management experience.
- Recommended software efficiency in: Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Smartsheet, Google Workspace, Slack and Dropbox knowledge.
- High School Diploma or GED-equivalent required. College degree in a related field is preferred.
- Highly organized and detail oriented, ability to multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Available on nights and weekends
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations.
- Direct the Ice Maintenance Program
- Delegate and assign responsibilities and goals to supervisors and staff.
- Operate and maintain rink equipment, including Ice Resurfacer and Ice Skate sharpening machine.
Compensation dependent upon experience. Looking for strong candidates interested in leading a team in a fun work environment. Applicants must have the availability to work during the holidays, working up to 59 hours a week.
