Ticketing Intern - Kentucky Derby Week

Overview:

As a Ticketing Intern for FanGate Solutions, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in ticket sales, ticket operations, guest services, and special events.  Team members will receive training on: Archtics ticket system, giving top notch customer service to exceed our client’s expectations and increase fans overall experience, as well as venue information.

This position is for one event based in Louisville, KY.  Would you like to experience working at the "Greatest 2 Minutes in Sports", helping thousands of race fans?  We provide staffing for Churchill Downs, Kentucky Derby race week.  Team members will be performing the following positions:  Box Office Staff, Ticket Scanners, Mobile Ticket Assistance, and Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities:
  • Aid guests with accurate event and promotional information
  • Selling and/or picking up event tickets at the box office
  • Assist with ticket scanning at gate locations for entry
  • Provide problem solving techniques to assist all customer inquiries and concerns
  • Represent FanGate Solutions and its clients in a professional and ethical manner
  • Punctual and self-motivated with an attention to detail
  • Communicate all pertinent information with clients and guests
  • Provide & maintain the highest level of customer service to clients and guests
  • Perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned by managers

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Willing to commute to Louisville, KY on the week of April 25th - May 2nd
    • Full internship is April 25th - May 2nd
    • Partial internship is May 1st & 2nd
  • Ability to work untraditional hours including weekends and evenings
  • College student majoring in sport management, hospitality management, business administration, or related fields is a plus
  • Eager to start & build a career in sports and live entertainment
  • Ability to deliver exceptional service by anticipating the guests’ needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills that complement a team-oriented work ethic 
  • Must be neat and presentable at all times
  • Must be 18 years of age or older with at least a high school diploma or GED

Duration and Pay:
Work Kentucky Derby Week in Louisville, KY at Churchill Downs.  This is a paid events position for work during actual events at $12/hour.

Saturday April 25th (Opening Day)
Arrive at 10:00am - Closing time @ 6:00pm
Sunday April 26th
Arrive at 10:00am - Closing time @ 4:30pm
 Tuesday April 28th  (502’sday)
Arrive at 9:30am - Closing time @ 4:30pm
 Wednesday April 29th  (Winsday)
Arrive at 9:30am - Closing time @ 5:00pm
 Thursday April 30th  (Thurby)
Arrive at 9:00am - Closing time @ 6:30pm
 Friday May 1st  (Kentucky Oaks)
Arrive at 9:00am - Closing time 8:30pm
 Saturday May 2nd  (Kentucky Derby)
Arrive at 7:00am - Closing time @ 8:30pm
