TICKET SALES INTERN

Event Overview:
You will be working as a ticketing box office intern in Chico, CA for the 71st Gold Cup Race of Champions race week at Silver Dollar Speedway, August 20th - 23rd. As an Intern with FanGate Solutions for Silver Dollar Speedway, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in ticket sales, ticket operations, and customer service. Your role will be troubleshooting ticketing issues at the box office, making sure guests have appropriate credentials for their area and assisting the owners of FanGate Solutions with managing the ticketing procedures and ticketing platform. Once your shift is complete, you are allowed general admission into the venue.
Responsibilities:
- Aid guests with accurate race day information
- Provide problem solving techniques to assist all customer inquiries and concerns
- Fulfill Will Call ticket orders accurately and efficiently
- Represent FanGate Solutions and its clients in a professional and ethical manner
- Punctual and self-motivated with an attention to detail
- Communicate all pertinent information with clients and guests
- Provide & maintain the highest level of customer service to clients and guests
- Perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned by managers
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to work untraditional hours including weekends, evenings and some holidays
- College student majoring in hospitality, marketing, sport management, communications or related fields is a plus
- Eager to start & build a career in sports and live entertainment
- Ability to deliver exceptional service by anticipating the guests’ needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Strong interpersonal skills that complement a team-oriented work ethic
- Ticket sales experience is a plus
- Must be neat and presentable at all times
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be 18 years of age or older with at least a high school diploma or GED
Pay and Schedule:
Pay is $16.50/hr.
Wednesday, August 20th: 10am - 7pm
Thursday, August 21st: 11am - 7pm
Friday, August 22nd: 11am - 7pm
Saturday, August 23rd: 11am - 7pm
